Contemporary created this high-fired ceramic bust at The Lakeside Studio in 1987. High-fired porcelain glaze in green, black, blue, purple, and Malaysian yellow colors. Cubist patterning with rough corners and splattered glaze gives piece rough edge quality. Signed and dated by the artist interior with ceramic pencil.
(pictured) This sculpture has a few rough unglazed areas that might seem broke or cracked, which was all the artist's intent. Created by the artist while participating in the artist-in-residence program at The Lakeside Studio, Lakeside, MI. Anne was part of the ceramic artist in residence program and fresh out of college at Claremont.
