This heavy piece of art sits on a wooden plinth with a dedication brass plaque attached which reads: DR W Thomas Sincere Appreciation Eda Martinek Henry Although we do not know who the recipient was, Eda Martinek Henry is a Los Angeles based sculptress who has exhibited successfully throughout her life.
