Vintage 1980's best-in-show BLACK PIGEON sculpture ceramic clay trophy prize

  

Vintage FAT BLACK PIGEON sculpture. Made from what appears to be gips/chalk/plaster/clay (white ceramic but not porcelain). This sculpture was a 1980's "best-in-show" trophy for a pigeon show. Date of creation was probably around that time. No signature or maker's mark.

In very good condition except for two tiny chips at the tip of the beak and the foot of the base. No other chips, cracks or repairs. Sculpture seems/feels quite delicate because of the material used. It weighs 1 1/4 pounds.
