Vintage Pair of Majolica style LOVE Parrots Sculptures made of Pottery. This gorgeous pair was made in the Shiwan district of China by the famous Bo Yun Pottery workshop. Bo Yun specializes in pottery depicting nature and animals such as birds, bugs, flogs, flowers, and plants. These pieces were not massed produced. They were carefully made by hand in limited batches. They were not made for export, so were often brought back to the U.

By persons visiting China on trips. Bo Yun is known is attention to detail and creating dimensional forms seen in nature.

Both pieces are signed by the maker. They measure 12.5 inches high by 4 inches wide. They are in beautiful vintage condition.

The parrot with the flowers is missing the tip of its tail (please see photos for details). A pair of birds in Chinese tradition promises health and lifelong lasting love. These are such happy birds. Just look at the detail and care put into constructing these birds' little feet and wings.
